At a minimum, monthly. Reviewing your profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statement each month gives you a timely picture of performance and surfaces issues before they become significant problems. Quarterly reviews with your advisor add a strategic layer on top of that routine.

Bookkeeping is the ongoing process of recording and organizing your financial transactions — categorizing expenses, reconciling accounts, and keeping your records current. Accounting builds on that foundation to produce financial statements, analyze performance, and provide the reporting you need to make informed decisions. Both are essential; they work together.

Advisory becomes especially valuable when you are facing a significant decision — expanding, hiring, taking on debt, or evaluating profitability by product or service line. It is also useful during periods of rapid growth, when cash flow management becomes more complex and the cost of a misstep increases.

Having access to your bank statements, existing accounting software (if any), and a general sense of your current pain points is a strong starting point. You do not need everything perfectly organized before reaching out — part of our job is helping you establish the right systems from the beginning.

We work primarily with QuickBooks. If you are not currently using accounting software, we will help you get set up with the right solution for your business size and workflow.

Before we begin any engagement, we agree on a fixed monthly fee based on the scope of services. That fee does not change based on how many transactions you have or how many questions you ask. You always know exactly what you are paying, which makes budgeting straightforward on your end.
